Neutron Star

Gun Lund and E=mc2 Dance

Jan Morthensen’s electronic music composition Neutron Star holds an ever growing density, until the sudden point of implosion - possibly representing the sensation of falling into a black hole where time and space dissolve. The choreography claims order in contrast to the chaos of Morthensen’s seemingly random music.

Choreography: Gun Lund

Music: Jan Morthenson

Dancers: Luisa Denward, Gunilla Jansson, Torun Odlöw, Olof Persson, Åsa Thegerström

Duration: 6 minutes

Ripples in the Stream

Solo by Rebecca Evanne

To the song For All We Know by legendary artist Nina Simone, Rebecca performs a solo about letting go and daring to love in spite of the risk of losing oneself. Rebecca who often choreographs for large musical theatre productions, has chosen to scale down and share this heartfelt performance with the audience.

Created and performed by Rebecca Evanne

Music: Nina Simone

Duration: 3 minutes

–Untitled–

Solo by Olof Persson,

Olof Persson, one of the artistic directors of 3:e Våningen, contributes with a short new dance work. Earlier this autumn Olof Persson Projects presented Me – every body, volume 2 at 3:e Våningen.

Cecilia Flodén Alm play short pieces on the flute.

Choreographer and poet Gunilla Witt reads from her own collection of poems.

Interspace

Gun Lund and E=mc2 Danskonst

Interspace (I mellanrummet) was originally set in the probably most expensive glazed space in Gothenburg – the glass and marble entry hall of WASA-huset by the stream Fattighusån. The audiences would stand around, noses to the glass, watching the dancers move within the space.

Since that time, Interspace has been performed at several different locations and venues. The interspace enables meetings; it is a space where we communicate, where vibrations and feelings can be transmitted. Therefore the interspace is not a void, but a sphere of experiences.

Choreography: Gun Lund

Music: Jonny Axelsson and John Teglgaard

Dancers: Celia Berndtzen, Luisa Denward, Gunilla Jansson,

Gun Lund, Torun Odlöw, Åsa Thegerström

Duration: 20 minutes

Program week 48: 27, 29, 30 November, 7 pm

Turning Point (Vändpunkt)

Gun Lund and E=mc2 Dance

A work for three dancers, conceived in dialogue with the impressive outdoors site specific I Gudars Skymning (In Shades of Gods). The one hour long original production for thirteen dancers and three musicians was created for and performed on the seashore of Kungälv in 1989, 1999 and 2009. It has also been adapted to locations in Scotland and Finland. In Turning Point the three dancers perform in front of a film from the original outdoors production, tracing memories and moving in dialogue with the performers on screen.

Choreography: Gun Lund

Music: Zbigniew Karkowski

Video: Andrew Bowden, Adeptus Film

Dancers: Celia Berndtzen, Gunilla Jansson, Torun Odlöw

Duration: ca 15 minutes

Water

Torbjörn Stenberg

How much do we constrain our inner selves to comply with the compromises of our social lives? Through our fundamental wish to be loved and to belong, we sometimes do what others ask of us just to receive some of their warmth.

With a projection of a running spring flood as only light source and backdrop, this piece is performed by the choreographer himself.

Choreographed and performed by Torbjörn Stenberg

Music: Beethoven, Lana del Rey, Jedi Mind Tricks

Duration: 10 minutes

Bo Swedberg, actor with a background at Göteborgs Stadsteater and Göteborgs Teaterhögskola, contributes with verbal movements.

Cell #2

Art of Spectra

BOUNDARIES was created by Art of Spectra in 2011, in co-production with Folkteatern in Göteborg. BOUNDARIES has toured both nationally and internationally and was performed by Ballet Vorpommern in Germany. The duet Cell #2 has been developed specifically for the Movements festival at 3:e Våningen.

Choreography and music: Peter Svenzon

Dancers: Ulriqa Fernqvist and Peter Svenzon

Duration: 10 minutes

Skoreografier

Gun Lund and E=mc2 Dance

A dance piece where the title in Swedish plays with the words shoe and choreography. Originally set to the inauguration of exhibition "Movement - Peter Opsvik" at the Röhsska Museum for Design, Fashion and Decorative Arts in Göteborg, 2000. The choreography was created to match the movements in designer Peter Opsvik’s furniture, for example his rocking chairs. Special shoes with a curved sole, in reality used for rehabilitation purposes, give the dancers unique movement possibilities. Together with bright colours in red, pink and orange of the shoes and ballerina tutus, the dancers are quite a vision of energy and innovation.

Choreography: Gun Lund

Dancers: Celia Berndtzen, Gunilla Jansson, Torun Odlöw

Duration: 10 minutes
